It’s no surprise that some of society’s most elite have an impressive display of the most elite vehicles. Nor is it much of a surprise to see the variations between their individual tastes according to their expertise.

Here are some of the luxury garages from a few of the world’s biggest names:

Bill Gates

The self-confessed car enthusiastic is quite the collector but much of his garage has been kept under wraps. Out of what’s likely an extensive collection, we do know that in 1987, he bought the Porsche 959, which reportedly remains his favourite choice for daily transportation. At the time, the twin-turbocharged 959 was considered the most technologically advanced road-legal sports car ever built, which is why the tech mogul’s admiration comes as no surprise. A big fan of the German brand, he’s also purchased a Porsche 930 Turbo and a 911 Carrera in the past; and most recently, much to the chagrin of Elon Musk, the Taycan – Porsche’s first electric car.

Larry Ellison

The Chairman and CTO of Oracle, and Tesla board member, also enjoys high-tech automobiles and has quite the extensive car collection. One of his garage’s most prized possessions is the McLaren F1 – designed by Gordon Murray. He’s also been seen driving the original Acura NSX which is linked to the legendary Ayrton Senna, and the Lexus LFA which features a V10 co-developed by Yamaha.

Kanye West

The controversial rapper’s garage is big on status and showmanship, just as he is. It features an extremely rare 2009 McLaren Mercedes SLR Stirling Moss, a model that averages around USD $3 million on the market today; a 2014 Bugatti Veyron; and a custom 2018 Lamborghini Urus which features oversized Boyd Coddington wheels.

Jay-Z

Bugatti is a popular choice among musical artists and athletes, and Jay-Z is no exception. His wife Beyoncé reportedly bought him a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport for his 41st birthday. Being one of the richest rappers of all time, he also owns one of the most expensive cars of all time, the Maybach Exelero, with a price tag of USD $8 million. Among many others, his garage also features a Ferrari F430 Spider, a Maybach 62S, a Bentley Continental GT, and a Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.

Ralph Lauren

The renowned fashion designer likens the artistry of cars to that of fashion and is no stranger to collecting what he defines as an expression of oneself. Owning what could be considered a museum of automotive history, his garage features a 1965 Ferrari P2/3, 1937 Bugatti T-57SC Gangloff DHC, 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB4 NART, 1960 Ferrari 250 California Spyder, 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, and a 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago, just to name a few.

Simon Cowell

A regular on Forbes’ list of 100 richest celebrities, the music producer and reality TV judge has a car collection to match his fortune. Some of the crown jewels in his garage include a Jaguar Eagle Speedster – a redefined Jaguar E-Type, an AC Cobra MK IV, an Aston Martin DB9 Volante, a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, and a Bentley Arnage T.

Floyd Mayweather

Making a mark as one of the highest-paid athletes of all time, Mayweather is also renowned for making statements via his automobile collection; having over USD $15 million worth of cars in his garage that he has never even driven. Fast, expensive, and flashy, his collection features one of the rarest supercars ever, the Koenigsegg Ccxr Trevita, of which only 4 units have ever been produced; a Bugatti Chiron, Veyron, and Grand Sport Vitesse; a Pagani Huayra; an Aston Martin One-77; and a LaFerrari Aperta; just to name a few.
